Trilaminates are three-layer fabrics with a waterproof butyl rubber membrane laminated between an outer layer and inner layer. BARE’s trilaminate fabrics are designed specifically for their intended use, and range from lightweight durability to extremely robust.
NYLON MICRO RIPSTOP TRILAMINATE
Extremely flexible, durable, and lightweight trilaminate.
Found in: X-MISSION EVOLUTION
NYLON 6.6 TRILAMINATE
A heavy-duty nylon trilaminate for exceptional durability.
CORDURA RIPSTOP TRILAMINATE
A heavy-duty ripstop Cordura nylon trilaminate for exceptional durability. The ripstop fabric is woven with a special reinforcing technique that makes it resistant to tearing and ripping.
POLYESTER TRILAMINATE
A polyester trilaminate is lighter weight and more flexible than traditional trilaminates.
Found in: TRILAM TECH DRY, TRILAM PRO DRY
Bilaminate materials are made of two layers. A waterproof polyurethane coating on the inside provides a waterproof barrier and the outer material is typically a nylon base fabric with a texture applied. These two layers laminated together, form the bilaminate material. BARE’s bilaminates are extremely durable, and in some cases, offer excellent chemical protection.
NEX-GEN FABRIC
Textured nylon base fabric, with a textured polyurethane outer coating for excellent chemical protection against toxins or pathogens.
Found in: NEX-GEN FABRIC
NEOPRENE
Neoprene is made in ‘buns’. They are cooked in an oven, then ‘sliced’ horizontally into the thickness required. i.e. 6.5mm, 5.0mm, 3.0mm. The sliced surfaces are called ‘open cell’. The neoprene slice is sometimes compressed to offer more stable thermal and buoyancy characteristics and laminated on one or both sides, depending on the purpose.
D-FOAM
Diving grade neoprene with better compression resistance than L-FOAM.
Found in: D6HD PRO DRY
DIAMOND-TUFF
Abrasion-resistant knit fabric with heavier yarns improves the drysuit’s overall durability.
Found in: D6HD PRO DRY
The right amount of protection on the knees depends on type and style of diving do. BARE offers a variety of fabrics, ranging from Kevlar® to a durable and flexible Melco to protect you and your drysuit.
K-PADZ
Kevlar® laminated over neoprene with Melco 75500 taped edges for durability with added padding.
